4.1 · 28 reviewsI spent a number of days visiting a loved one at this assisted living center. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and gentleness they showed in how they cared for my loved one. It's a beautiful setting where this is located and I can tell they work hard to maintain that. The rooms are spacious and enable them to have things that let them feel like they have enough of their own space and can make it their home. I really only had one complaint and that was they need a rear entrance for visitors, especially in the rain.
We liked the care that they give and it's not that big of a building. It's two levels and I think they have right now about 55 residents. Some places are a couple of stories high and we didn't want that. I liked the personal care that they give the individuals. The assisted living section is separate. They have a memory care section, too, so that was good. They're very friendly and it was a very personal kind of place. The location for us was good. A person whose other family members there had recommended it to us, too. It's a very clean facility.
Sunrise at East Cobb has been a blessing for our mother. When we first came to Sunrise, my father was admitted to hospice care, so mom needed some extra TLC. At Sunrise, mom was able to properly adjust to life without my dad with the help of a caring and thoughtful staff. Mom’s health has improved and her spirits have lifted all due to the fantastic facility and homie environment. Thank you Sunrise!

My mom is here and she's doing very well. They're taking care of her and getting her involved in activities. They're taking care of her medication and the doctor is coming to see her, so we're very happy with them. They have bingo, cornhole, and wheelchair exercises. They also did a Mother's Day tea right before Mother's Day. So far, Mom likes the food very well. They've also been keeping her room clean. They have some outdoor spaces. It's not a lot, but Mom can't walk, so it doesn't matter to her.
Moving my dad from his current assisted living facility to Sunrise was quick, efficient and painless especially with my dad's dementia and inability to make changes in his life without grumbling. Sunrise was a comfortable place that embraced my dad and made him feel comfortable and at home right away and I had little to no problems with his transition. The pricing was way better and the amenities, service, food and location were amazing!
As a family, we are so grateful for the care my mother has received at Sunrise East Cobb. The staff have been incredibly attentive and caring, providing her with excellent medical care and monitoring while also engaging her in meaningful activities. In just 6 months, she has returned to her vibrant self and is now taking an active interest in life again. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and diligence!
