Mom didn't get along with staff, stating that she had concerns about daily care. When I addressed this with the owner, I was told my mom was lying and causing problems. I was asked to remove my mom and decided to take her to another facility. This is when everything fell apart. I paid the prorated first month plus 1 time admin fee when she moved in. Three weeks later to move her out I was charged daily rate because I had not given 30 day notice even though it…

88 year old mother is a stroke victim. Paralysis on left side and incontinent. Fine mentally with speech, writing, and communication. Mom didn't get along with staff, stating that she had concerns about daily care. When I addressed this with the owner, I was told my mom was lying and causing problems. I was asked to remove my mom and decided to take her to another facility. This is when everything fell apart. I paid the prorated first month plus 1 time admin fee when she moved in. Three weeks later to move her out I was charged daily rate because I had not given 30 day notice even though it was the owner's suggestion/request to move her. $[removed] for a three week stay. Felt like I went through hostage negotiations. Owner doesn't "play well with others".
My mother was fortunate to reside at Dayes for six (6) months. We had nothing but positive experiences while she was there. She was always clean and well fed. The facility is spotless and there was never a smell that most personal care homes have. [removed] and her staff provided a safe loving environment during her time there. My only regret is that we didn't know about Dayes sooner! When mom passed [removed] was there for our family and provided us with the emotional support needed when a loved one passes.
They've done a really excellent job at Dayes Adult Care Center! The staff here is caring and friendly, and they do a really excellent job looking after the residents. I couldn't be happier with how they are treating my loved one!

Kind, caring staff. Facility very homey and clean. Atmosphere of friendliness promoted between residents with activities and meal times. The best value available for the level of care received. Ms Graham makes every effort to assure every resident is made to feel at home. Each "care plan" is individualized for the resident according to the abilities and needs.
My mother has been in this facility for over two years and the quality of care is exceptional. I moved my Mom from a large facility to Dayes and that was the best choice I ever made. My Mom is well cared for,well nourished,always well groomed. The staff is caring and always helpful.I have no hesitation in recommending this facility.
My uncle is in Dayes. I liked the price but I don’t like the choice of menu, I have to supply quite a few alternative meals for him. What I liked was the hominess and the intimacy because there were only four people in the facility. His room is small and he’s restricted. They’ve had staff issues also and not enough activities.
