1 Star | Poor Food, Restricted Visitation, and Questionable Legal Oversight The food is awful compared to the fresh, home cooked meals, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables I provided during years of caring for my loved one at home. 1 Star | Poor Food, Restricted Visitation, and Questionable Legal Oversight The food is awful compared to the fresh, home cooked meals, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables I provided during years of caring for my loved one at home. Unfortunately, the food is the least concerning part. My loved one repeatedly says she doesn't want to be here, feels she has no choices, and asks what crime she committed to deserve being locked up. Meanwhile, family visitation has been restricted. She has never, to my knowledge, been declared incapacitated by a court. I seriously question whether management properly verified the legal authority being relied upon to restrict her visitation and make decisions about her placement. As an experienced caregiver with legal training, I find the lack of clarity deeply troubling. A power of attorney is not a blank check, dementia is not a criminal conviction, and memory care should not feel like incarceration. Before trusting this facility with someone you love, ask who controls visitation, how resident consent is respected, and whether the facility independently verifies legal authority. A pretty building is no substitute for dignity, accountability, and respect for residents' rights. UPDATE: The situation has escalated further. After a visit with my loved one, I was explicitly told by facility staff that I was no longer allowed to visit. I preserved that interaction. The following day, the facility director told me she was not aware that this had happened and confirmed that I was still permitted to visit freely. My written complaint was subsequently forwarded to the facility’s corporate office. I have requested a written explanation identifying who attempted to restrict my visitation, what authority the facility believed supported that restriction, and why information regarding my private visits is being shared with third parties. I have also contacted the Long-Term Care Ombudsman and other appropriate oversight channels regarding concerns about resident autonomy, privacy, visitation, and the authority being relied upon in decisions affecting my loved one. What concerns me most is the inconsistency. A family member should not be told one evening that they are prohibited from visiting and then be told the following day by management that no such restriction exists, without a clear explanation of how that happened. This is no longer simply a customer-service issue. It raises serious questions about communication, accountability, resident rights, privacy, and whether staff are independently verifying who actually has authority before acting on instructions that restrict a resident’s relationships. I have asked that all relevant communications and records be preserved and that the facility respond to my concerns in writing. I will continue updating this review as written answers are provided. Until then, I strongly encourage anyone considering this facility for a loved one to ask detailed questions about resident autonomy, visitor restrictions, privacy, how disputed family instructions are handled, and what safeguards exist before staff interfere with a resident’s personal relationships.

Where your mom will be happy and well taken care of!! Very reasonable priced.
