The facility itself is immaculate, bright, and incredibly welcoming. We loved exploring the beautifully landscaped central courtyard and the spacious independent living cottages, which provide a fantastic lifestyle for active seniors.It is clear that Manor Lake shares our commitment to preserving the dignity, independence, and safety of older adults. The caregivers in memory care are excellent. They really care for the well being of the residents. We're there daily, and have gotten to know the whole group. Manor Lake is a nice place to visit. The outside areas are pristine, and we appreciate the snack bar and "coffee shop" being available for families. The director and memory care manager are both very responsive. I appreciate the work that they all do. It's a tough profession.

Their staff communicates promptly and clearly, collaborates seamlessly with our hospice providers, and truly prioritizes each resident’s quality of life. It’s evident that they approach every situation with empathy and a resident-centered mindset. The environment is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully maintained, creating a peaceful setting not only for residents but also for their families during sensitive times. I’ve witnessed firsthand how the staff supports families with kindness and reassurance, ensuring they feel informed and cared for every step of the way. From a clinical and collaborative standpoint, Manor Lake Athens is an outstanding partner in care. I’m always confident referring families there, knowing their loved ones will be treated with compassion, respect, and excellence.
A truly wonderful assisted living community! The staff is compassionate, attentive, and clearly dedicated to providing residents with dignity, comfort, and individualized care. Management team- Eric, Katie, and Lisa to name a few- are extraordinary! The environment feels welcoming and well-maintained, and it’s evident that residents are treated like family. A great place for seniors to call home.
Great option for senior independent living cottages with an easy transition to assisted living and memory care available if/when the need arises. The buildings and grounds are clean and well cared for. The location is convenient for quick errands for groceries, a meal, or a haircut. The price is comparable/ competitive with other places we looked at.
Everyone in Memory Care has taken very good care of Mike. They are all attentive and kind. His room is cleaned and his laundry has been good.
