I recently visited Arbor Terrace to begin to see what options are available. Alice Woodward showed my husband and I and later my mom around the facility. What we saw was a community where each person was engaged and treated with respect and dignity. The facility is clean and bright, the atmosphere cheerful, and staff members engaging. We were treated to a lovely lunch, the food was excellent and served beautifully. I would without hesitation recommend and use Arbor Terrace.

I have visited Arbor Terrace of Athens several times and have always been impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The community is beautiful, well-maintained, and feels like home from the moment you walk in the door. What stands out most is the staff. Everyone I have encountered has been friendly, caring, and genuinely engaged with the residents. It’s clear that the team takes pride in creating a positive environment where residents can thrive. I have a close friend who lives at Arbor Terrace. Prior to his move, He lived at another senior living facility in Athens but, ultimately, needed more assistance than they were equipped to provide. His daughter and I visited a number of facilities in the Athens area and ultimately, the decision was made… with his approval… to make the move to Arbor Terrace and a wise decision this proved to be. It is one of the smaller senior living opportunities in this area and thus can provide a very personal relationship with individuals who reside there, which he, his family and friends much appreciate. Also, the apartments are extremely nice with the safety of the residents secured. Arbor Terrace has well-trained staff who really care about the people they serve. The kitchen provides nutritious and tasty three meals a day via a menu with healthy choices from which residents can consider with oversight of staff aware of their dietary needs. My friend appreciates the many activities made available in which the residents can and do participate, including off-campus field trips provided by the facility for those who can and wish to participate. I think it is important to know that there are two opportunities for seniors at Arbor Terrace: One for those who need general care and assistance and a second for those who need around-the-clock oversight. Those who need more assistance are in a separate neighborhood of the building with very nice apartments and they also enjoy programming, excellent food service and the opportunity with those of adequate health to enjoy activities off-site as well. I visit my friend often and have decided, as I age, if I cannot adequately provide for myself in my current home, I would like my next residence to be Arbor Terrace of Athens.

I have nothing but positive things to say Arbor Terrace of Athens. As a third party coming into the community, one thing that always stands out is the positive atmosphere throughout the community. From the moment you walk through the doors, residents are engaged, staff members are welcoming, and there is a genuine sense that people care about one another. Dyana, Jana, and Keshia show so professionalism, kindness, and have the commitment to providing excellent care to the residents while supporting their families. Another amazing thing about Arbor is the longevity of the staff. I have known Judy and Titus for a long time. They both have hearts of gold and always go the extra mile. My experience with Arbor has always been amazing. It does have that feeling of home away from home. I would highly recommend Arbor Terrace of Athens!

My mother has been at Arbor Terrace for 4.5 years. Initially, she was in Bridges but 2 years ago moved to Evergreen due to her worsening dementia. I have found the staff to be kind, helpful, and welcoming. Arbor is clean and has a lovely garden area. My mother enjoys the koi fish in the pond. Any issues that I may have are addressed promptly. When my mother has a day of clarity, she has told me that “this is a nice place” which is comforting to me.

Because I’m not able to live in my own home any more Arbor Terrace of Athens is the next best place to be.

Arbor of Athens holds such a special place in my heart! Always greeted with an infectious smile from Judy at the front desk. Alexis, one of the med techs there, always has the resident’s best interest! I recommend this facility to anyone in the area who wants their family member to get the best level of care!

I can’t say enough great things about Arbor Terrace of Athens. My mom has lived in assisted living there for one and a half years. From our first experiences with tours to moving in to day-to-day living, the staff has been tremendous. They work together in a way to assist the residents and their families, and truly make it feel like a family environment. Senior leadership also takes an active role participating with residents by hosting monthly meetings, e.g., Alice’s tea parties, Jana’s ladies’ meetings, Dyana’s book club, and Darren’s safety meeting. From the very first tour, Alice was wonderful at showing us the facility, explaining the options, helping us get on the waitlist, and then adjusting to our needs when it came time for a move-in. The front desk staff (Judy and Morgan) are always smiling and pleasant and go out of their way to help in any way they can, taking initiative to solve problems or just be there to listen. The cleanliness of the facility and grounds was one of the things that drew us to Arbor Terrace. Titus, who manages the cleaning staff, ensures the residences and the common areas always look wonderful. The care team is just that…truly caring. They check in on my mom regularly and make sure she has what she needs…always leaving with “just call me if you need anything before I come back.” Pam and KeeKee are two that I have come to know well, but the others are also very good. I can’t say enough great things about Christiane, who leads the dining staff. My mother has very restrictive dining requirements due to a severe and unique health issue. Christiane and her team go above and beyond to ensure that they adapt menu selections (which already look wonderful) to meet Mama’s restrictions and desires. Under Addison’s direction, he, Marianne, and Casey offer daily activities that vary widely to ensure that there is something for everyone. From bingo to musical concerts to book clubs to socials to crafts to religious ceremonies to a variety of outings, there is always something going on in each of the different levels of care (assisted living, bridges, and memory care). Family is always welcomed to participate as well. I am sure I have left out many staff (e.g., Keisha, Quinn, Alexis, Genivieve) who make Arbor Terrace a true “home” for its residents, and I would rate this place a 10 on a 5-point scale.
