Heartbreaking Experience — I Would Not Recommend This Facility The people at The Retreat of Loganville were mean and cruel toward me during one of the most painful periods of my life. I wanted nothing more than to be there for my dad, but I was kept from seeing him and was made to get permission from my sisters just to visit him. I never got to see my dad before he died. I never got the chance to say goodbye. That is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life. My dad had been doing well at home, but after moving into the facility, I watched him change. From my perspective, it seemed like he lost hope and gave up. I will always wonder whether things could have been different if I had been allowed to be there for him. I feel deeply hurt by the way I was treated. Families deserve compassion, dignity, and respect—especially when a loved one is nearing the end of their life. My experience was the opposite. I would not recommend The Retreat of Loganville based on my experience.
I’ve had a great experience so far With everyone that I’ve come In contact with The Retreat At Loganville is clean and Well, put together. The food is top-notchThe grounds are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Physical Therapy has given me a new lease on life and I feel very Confident that I will be walking again I would like to call everybody by name, but I might forget and leave somebody out that I have no complaints but definitely recommend The Retreat At Loganville to every One that I know!!
They were very accommodating for a last minute placement in memory care when my dad's caretaker was injured. I could drop in at any time to visit and he was well cared for during his time here. I felt he was in good hands and that gave me peace of mind during this stressful period.
My 93 year old mother is a resident at The Retreat. I researched almost every facility in Walton and Morgan counties before deciding on The Retreat. The following qualities set this community apart from all the others: a nurse practitioner who visits twice a week so I never have to transport Mom to a doctor’s office; a full time nurse in staff who responds quickly to texts; menus for residents to choose their meals (delicious and healthy); a maintenance staff that helps with any request- like setting up the cable tv and making sure the room is clean; levels of care- so Mom doesn’t have to move if her mobility becomes more limited; and most importantly kind staff who treat the residents like family.
The Retreat at Loganville is the best ALF community in the area. The staff are always so helpful, kind, and compassionate. I’ve been visiting there for 8 years, it’s so nice to see the same smiling faces. If you ever need care for your loved one, go give them a visit! They have independent care, ALF care and Memory care. 🩷
I cannot speak for the Retreat Assisted Living but the memory care is the worst experience I have ever had . I am extremely disappointed with the management at this memory care facility. While some of the frontline staff try their best, the lack of oversight, accountability, and concern from management is alarming. I would strongly urge anyone considering this facility to ask hard questions, document everything, and closely monitor the care being provided. Based on our experience, management does not demonstrate the level of responsibility or commitment that memory care residents deserve.
My Mom is at The Retreat. She has made such great friends and has enjoyed the community environment as a whole and the many activities. Her favorites are Bingo, Shopping, Birthday Parties, and Theme Parties as well as hanging out on a neighbor's carport in beautiful weather. Mom thinks the housekeeping ladies and the guys who do the yardwork and the engineers are all great. I am very happy that Mom is happy!
I loved my time living at the Retreat, the staff was always helpful and caring, any problems in your home they took care of promptly. The neighbors are friendly and really nice to know, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.
