4.2 · 51 reviewsThey have been good. If you do have a concern, [name removed] the director can be reached and is always helpful. They have less help on the weekends but the ladies are nice. They were changing their food service vendor but that seems to be getting better so maybe they have that worked out. The staff interacts well with patients and family. [name removed] and [name removed] are awesome!
My mom has been a resident for a year, and has been well loved and taken care of. Mom has dementia and can hardly remember a lot, but she remembers the staff and the love that they show her on a daily basis. She loves her room that is furnished with her furniture, and tells me at every visit how she loves all of those that care for her. It is never wanted to have to put a loved one in a facility, but to see how she has adapted, and the love that flows through this place, I wouldn't want her anywhere else. A big thank you to Robyn, Erin, Cookie, Chelsea, and all the staff that take such good…

I toured The Gardenias Senior Living. I liked that it was very sunny. The room that my husband would have is spacious. I liked the fact that I could decorate it any way I wanted and bring furniture from home for his comfort. The people's personal effects were very nice there. I can see that they can make themselves feel at home. There were common spaces that were well-lit and comfortable. I also liked the fact that they clean the rooms twice a week. He would have his own shower that he would be able to roll into with a wheelchair. I did not find the price unreasonable. Although, I can't…

Although, I can't afford a private room right now and they didn't have a semi-private room available for a male. They only have 27 people there. It seems a very good and manageable number. But most of them were women. I only saw one man there. Everybody was very professional but also happy and pleasant, very cooperative, and very friendly. I felt good about my husband being possibly there. They don't have a lot of grounds for you to be out and only have a very small acreage. It was very pleasant, though, and I am looking forward to him being there.

The Gardenias Senior Living is very attentive. They take good care of Mom with her dementia. They have a hospice nurse that comes out every week to see her and they call me weekly to let me know how the visit works. It's very clean and organized. It has a little outside place where they could go out and sit. It's nice. The front is also nice. They always have it decorated for whatever holiday it is. They have a salon and a person that comes in and does the hair.
Horrible! This facility could be so much better and worth every penny spent, if management was better. They’re always short staffed, no one answers the phone/door, and facility is dirty (floors sticky, resident rooms are filthy). This use to be a nice place where residents would do for themselves, but it’s a full nursing home. Majority of all the residents are in wheel chairs, the food is unbearable (to eat and to look at). My mother is currently in the facility now and has lost so much weight due to malnutrition (in my opinion). Activities are few to none, half of the time the residents are sleep in the dining room. It’s just sad at this point. I’ve made the state aware with no repercussions, seems as if the states doesn’t care either.
When it comes to the activities I do not really know, I know they gave them but my mom. It's hard to get her to go she likes her room. Overall, they have been great to mom and we would most definitely recommend them to others. They have been in transition with meals dinning and it's not bad they are just trying to make improvements. One thing I would change not a huge deal, they have to open and let you in the door. They do not have code access but sometimes it takes the workers a bit to. Come open the door but that's usually weekends evenings less employees there.
I would tell them to please find another place. I would not recommend it to anyone.
I went to The Gardenias Senior Living for my mom. It was very nice. The residents were eating lunch at the time, so they were all out and about. The staff was friendly. It seemed very clean. They had lots of activities, and they even have a hair salon and barber shop, so it's very nice.
