I’m in this facility a lot as a hospice nurse, and I have gotten to know many of the staff. They do care about their residents, and the caregivers have good hearts. A lot of the same staff have been here for a long time, which I think says a lot. I get to see firsthand how the residents are treated, and I always feel good about having my patients here. The staff is caring, kind, and easy to work with. You can tell they truly care about the people they take care for. I would definitely recommend this facility.
The staff here truly care about their residents. My mother has been treated with kindness, patience, and respect since day one. The facility is clean, well-run, and communication is always excellent. I’m grateful to know she’s in good hands.
We went to North Georgia Assisted Living for a tour. It looked very clean. It looked very updated. The rooms were nice size, but I know my mother would never want the double room and she would only want the single room. It was a little bit low light and kind of dreary in the area where they were eating. But there were plenty of places to lounge and it looked like there was a lot to do as the social director had things planned for the people. It seemed nice enough. The staff who gave the tour was the dietitian because they didn't know we were coming, so they had to call someone in. She didn't…

The staff who gave the tour was the dietitian because they didn't know we were coming, so they had to call someone in. She didn't have the answers to all the questions, but for the most part, she took us everywhere we needed to see and was very pleasant. The facility was very nice. And they have a salon, a place to do their nails, and a place to play cards.
The executive director, Philip is non responsive and clueless. This place does not care for the residents or most often does not answer phoned. Philip does not respond to emails, texts or voice mail messages. He is evasive and does not answer any question directly. Rooms are filthy including bathrooms. Health department will be notified
North Georgia Assisted Living. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The employees are kind and caring, which goes a long way when caring for the elderly. It starts with the director, and Phillip is great. I am so glad my mom live there. 🙏🌺
Make sure that you are on top of things and visiting and advocate for your loved ones. The staff who were here when my loved one was here you had to make sure to stay on top of them. I wrote a letter and they did not do much about it - I was disappointed. They left her in her diaper for a very very long time. They always left her in her bed or would leave her in her wheelchair for hours. I would not recommend them to others until they change their management. I know they changed out the executive director but the med tech was the one we had the most issues with. She would scream at both of my parents in front of other employees.
I've always been very satisfied with North Georgia Assisted Living. Everybody's very attentive. My mom has been very happy, too, which means a lot to me. She is in a semi-private room. So, she has her own bedroom, and then she shares a bathroom. They've been very accommodating with her. They have quite a bit of entertainment. Due to COVID, we could not go in like we used to, but the big thing is, my mother has been very satisfied there. She loves the food, it's in a good location, it's always clean and never smells bad, and I think they're cheaper than all the other ones.
Everyone at North Georgia Assisted Living was very friendly and very nice. They invited us to bring mom back to have lunch. We did, and the food was good. The place was very clean, very well-kept, nicely landscaped, and has plenty of parking. They have onsite physical therapy. They have activities daily. There is a television room where they can all watch TV together or have a movie night. They have activities planned out each day, each morning, and afternoon. They have religious services, a barbershop, and a beauty salon. They have doctors that round the patients once a month. Some of the local doctors have come in, like a podiatrist who comes in and does pedicures for the patients. One of them was a family care doctor, and he rounds on the patients to make sure everything is okay. It's very well set up.
