My mom was one of the first residents when this facility opened several years ago. This was the third facility we tried in 4 years before settling at Magnolia. Although it was an hour and half drive to the facility, we felt she would get much better attention at a smaller facility than what we previously experienced. After multiple moves, several things became very apparent. No matter what facility you place your loved one in, it is imperative you continue to communicate with the facility staff/management on concerns as well as the positives regarding the care your loved one receives. Alesia (Sr. Med Tech) got to know my mom over the years and would contact me via text or call to provide updates when requested. (She was amazing). The facility ownership along with management would be at almost all events getting to know their residents and their families. This allowed us to get to know the people caring for mom on a more personal level. The other thing that became apparent- you will not find a perfect place for your loved one to live. Over the years that my mom was at Magnolia, there were occasional (normal) challenges that occurred with staff, food, medications, etc. but when I brought it up with the management, it appeared to be promptly handled. Once my mom was moved into memory care, it was as if Cheyenne, Melissa, Michelle, Brooke, Christy and rest of the team were taking care of their own grandmother during her brief stay. They were absolutely amazing and handled all of the residents with respect and dignity. My family could not have asked for more from this team until my mom's passing. Thank you Magnolia for taking care of my mom the past several years. Your efforts were always noticed and appreciated.

Steer as far away as possible from this horrid establishment! The nurse (Shay) many times I have been up there when residents have alcohol, me and my family have seen her pour some for herself; and before us leaving the facility she will be stumbling around. The marketing director is a very unkind human as well. Thankful my family member is out of this facility. I’ve heard all the stories about what this building has been through from employees that no longer work here due to unfair treatment from management! I’ve heard all the stories about what this building has been through from employees that no longer work here due to unfair treatment from management! They lose many staff because they pick and choose which employees they like. One Medtech/Wannabe Manager, has given my family rude looks and I have heard them say not so very kind things! I would definitely look for a different facility when trying to find a place for a loved one!

Basing this review solely on interaction with the marketing director, as we never even got placement. She was all helpful until she told us we needed to get a 24/7 carer ontop of the care our mother was supposed to get while there. When we advised we could not afford a $3000 a week care ontop of their fees that stopped. She INFORMED the assisted living facility where our mother resides NOT US, that they would not accept her. She then ghosted us, even going so far as to block my phone and having staff screen calls and saying “oh, she’ll be in at 10…..Oh, she didn’t come in today” . I can’t…

I can’t even imagine what they’d do once they got you locked into contract if this is the type of unprofessional and rude behaviour is of their marketing director. Can’t wait to see what type of platitudes they offer to discuss this matter as this is nothing they can say about.

Unfortunately, it was an awful experience. I understand they went through some management changes, so maybe it's better now. I'm really a pretty easy going person, and don't write bad reviews....but this really was a bad experience. My father went there mid October and was under hospice care. (They have hospice care right there at the facility, which was awesome! And....the hospice nurses were incredible!) My guess is that Magnolia was understaffed, but not exactly sure....my father would push his call button and nobody would come. I mean for hours! I was constantly calling, and would get all kinds of answers from the batteries were out, to it's a new technology...it stressed him out, and he truly suffered. He mostly needed help getting to the bathroom as he had broken his shoulder in the hospital. I realize it takes time to settle in and mistakes happen, but they could never seem to get the call button to work. I truly believe that's why he failed so quickly. He was only there 16 days and he passed away on [date removed]. After he passed, they continued to withdraw "rent" from his account in December and January. It took numerous phone calls and emails (including one to the owner that I never heard from) over several weeks to finally get the money he was owed back. Really unfortunate and unprofessional. On the outside, and when touring, it seems like a wonderful place! And maybe if you are more on the healthy side and don't need much assistance, it is. I really wish if they were unable to care for my dad they wouldn't have accepted him. I really hope that other residents are having a better experience. It would be hard for me to give it a good review.

My dad was in memory care, approved initially with ostomy care. There were numerous areas that needed major improvement for most of the ten months he resided there but to no avail. We had a camera in his room so there was plenty of proof. His mental health started declining rapidly at the beginning of 2025 and we were told they could no longer care for his ostomy along with other things they were claiming. Reminder: we had a camera in his room so we saw a lot! Numerous resident families had complaints against this facility, not just ours. Most all complaints were swept under the rug and fell on deaf ears. Long story short three weeks after we moved our dad, he passed away. It was a godsend that we removed him when we did. I wouldn’t want any family to go through what we did. I would love to give more specifics but I’m only allowed 1000 characters.

They truly care about their residents and are willing to sit down and work through any issues you might have. They do a good job of getting them involved with activities as well. The facility is clean and well taken care of.

Recently there have been changes in management at Magnolia. These changes have been for the greater good of the entire community. There are now managers who actually care about the residents and their families and don’t try to sweep everything under the rug… Despite what the other reviews say, Magnolia is definitely worth checking out. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Some of these bad reviews are from disgruntled employees who were fired and irrational family members who ‘know it all.’

There have been some recent changes in management at Magnolia and those changes have made a huge, positive impact! They have staff who genuinely care about the residents and their families. The new management staff actually listens and takes action when working with residents and their families. The food situation is slowly but surely getting better. The Activities are wonderful. Residents in both AL & MC are kept pretty active in doing activities. The building itself is beautiful and does not have a foul odor like some places. Despite what other reviews might say, Magnolia is worth checking out.
