The employee's are rude! One of them followed me out the building cussing calling me names bc I couldn't get the door to open & "it" actually had to get up off their behind to help someone, & cussed at me bc I couldn't get out bc the door was locked, smh absolutely ridiculous service! This is a nursing home they are supposed to help ppl! I also want to add that I reached out to the director to discuss this matter & I have completely been ignored, making management just as irresponsible as their employee.

This was hands down the worst healthcare experience I have ever encountered. This was hands down the worst healthcare experience I have ever encountered. My great-grandmother stayed here for about three weeks, and what we witnessed during that time was completely unacceptable. One day, I walked in and saw a man lying on the floor begging for help. No nurses or staff were assisting him—no one even seemed concerned. Thankfully, we stepped in and found someone to help, but the staff member we approached acted annoyed that we even asked. That alone says everything about the level of care here. On top of that, my grandmother had to wait over two hours after pressing the nurse call button just to be helped to the bathroom. No one came. No one checked in. That kind of neglect is inexcusable and dangerous. The conditions of the facility are beyond disturbing. The bathroom was a complete biohazard—there was feces left uncleaned, and the smell of urine was so overwhelming that we could barely stay in the room. When we brought it up to a nurse, we were told that no one would clean it until Monday. Monday came, and of course, no one ever showed up. This place shows a shocking lack of basic hygiene, compassion, and responsibility. If there were a way to file a grievance against the entire facility, I absolutely would. Do not trust this place with your loved ones. Truly a terrible and heartbreaking experience. Also do not forget this is $218 a DAY

This place treats their patients horribly. They are extremely negligent, stay far away from this place unless you want your family member to suffer and acquire new health problems. Being short staffed is not an excuse. Remove yourself from the health field if you do not have the heart to help people.

This nursing home can be great, but it can also be very unsafe and unclean!! I have been here visiting my Grandmother and in the over two hours I have been here, she has not had a CNA in to change her, reposition her, or even check on her. I don’t think there are any CNA’s on her hall. During the week, care is much higher quality, but on the weekends it is hard to get any help. I asked for a CNA to help change her at 6:00, and it is now 7:30, still with no one to change her.

I can't say enough good things about NHC, Ft. Oglethorpe. They took such good care of my Mom and loved her like one of their own. In memory of my Mom, Aileen Tucker.

My mom left NHC today. She was in rehab after a knee replacement. I visited everyday and spent a lot of time there, I was super impressed with all staff. Everyone was so helpful and caring with her. Her meds nurse Nichole was above and beyond. Personally checking on my mom and myself. Mrs. Yolanda was so wonderful too. We had a few concerns (mainly because this was all new to us) She explained everything to us and helped to alleviate all concerns. She checked on us many times. This was all scary to me and I know mom was so nervous. Having such wonderful caring staff was very essential to us. Thank you all.

My mother has been at NHC for almost 2 years now and I am there every week visiting her. I have been impressed with the staff from day one. We have been through a lot with my mother and they have helped me every step of the way and with any needs that arise. As with any facility, there are always one or two bad apples, but the majority of the staff are awesome, and some are exceptional!! They are there because they care, and it shows!

My mother recently stayed at this facility for three weeks following a hip replacement. There were some nurses and nursing assistants that were very attentive, however some of them took a very long time to respond, and my mother had to go to the bathroom on her own, and was not supposed to go without assistance. But the worst experience was on her last day. A nursing assistant named Maria came in and told her very rudely that she was “putting her out”. She threw my mother’s belongings in boxes and took her to a dining room, where she had to sit for almost two hours until I got there. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior. My mother was very upset. The therapists there were wonderful, however. We were very impressed with them.
