4.5 · 2 reviewsWe came from Houston to visit my husbands Mother at the Harris Senior Center which had been chosen for his Mother by her 2 daughter who live in Atlanta. We thought the Ladies who looked after patients were very congenial and friendly. They appeared to be capable and caring. The home was clean and tidy, her room though small was nice and had everything she needed. During our visit a gentleman came to play an instrument and sing. Although our Mother had her own tv, many enjoyed a tv in the living area together. At meal time they all sat around a round table to eat and converse and the meal…

We came from Houston to visit my husbands Mother at the Harris Senior Center which had been chosen for his Mother by her 2 daughter who live in Atlanta. We thought the Ladies who looked after patients were very congenial and friendly. They appeared to be capable and caring. The home was clean and tidy, her room though small was nice and had everything she needed. During our visit a gentleman came to play an instrument and sing. Although our Mother had her own tv, many enjoyed a tv in the living area together. At meal time they all sat around a round table to eat and converse and the meal looked tasty. Our Mothers only complaint, being from Texas, was that they never served Mexican food! She is a devout Catholic and so they arranged for someone to come and give her communion ever Sunday. Altho' at 89 she would prefer to be in her own home, that simply is NOT possible and she appears to be well off here.
We chose Harris Senior Living because we had recommendations from people that we knew. I do think they could have improved on communication especially during covid. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend.
