As she was improving rapidly,the therapist expressed the opinion it was time for my wife to go home after a few days. On requesting her release we were told by the administrator that the doctor, who at no stage of her stay had examined her, was not available to release her that day and would not be available until the following week. As there was no need for her to stay there any longer we took her home. Later that same day the POLICE show up at our door and told us…

After suffering a minor stroke and a brief stay at the local Hospital, my wife was transferred to New Horizons in De morest. As she was improving rapidly,the therapist expressed the opinion it was time for my wife to go home after a few days. On requesting her release we were told by the administrator that the doctor, who at no stage of her stay had examined her, was not available to release her that day and would not be available until the following week. As there was no need for her to stay there any longer we took her home. Later that same day the POLICE show up at our door and told us that New Horizons had asked them to check on my wife. That was totally outrageous, traumatic and unlawful. Unless you want this establishment to send the police after you, I suggest you look for a different care facility.
