I am writing to express my deep appreciation for my recent RN re-entry clinical experience at your facility in Union City, Georgia. As a nurse re-entering the field, this clinical rotation was a pivotal step in my career, and I can honestly say that my time at Christian City Health exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, the atmosphere of the facility was consistently orderly, well-maintained, and quiet. More importantly, the facility did not have the unpleasant, lingering odors that are often stereotypically associated with long-term care. This attention to environmental hygiene immediately set a tone of professionalism and respect for the residents. Patient care and safety were clearly the top priorities during my clinical hours. I observed that the staff was not only attentive but quick to respond to call lights and patient needs. I never witnessed a patient waiting long for assistance and I saw staff members proactively, checking on patients rather than waiting to be summoned. What truly endeared me to this facility was the staff’s relationship with the long-term residents. In many facilities, long-term patients can be overlooked or treated with clinical detachment. However, at Pruitt Health Christian City, I witnessed a culture of love, understanding, and unwavering dignity. The nurses and CNA‘s treated these residents as family. They knew their stories, their preferences, and their moods. It was a beautiful reminder of the “art” of nursing —-treating the person, not just the illness. This kind of compassion is a direct reflection of the leadership and culture fostered within this building. I would be remiss if I did not specifically highlight the extraordinary mentorship I received from my preceptor and nurse navigator, Miriam Hannon. Miriam is a wealth of knowledge. She possesses a clinical expertise that is both broad and deep. What impressed me most about Miriam was her availability. Despite having the demanding role of nurse navigator, she was never too busy to assist the floor staff. She acted as a safety net, ensuring that no detail was overlooked whether it was a subtle change in a patient’s vital signs, a medication interaction, or a family member’s emotional concern. I watched her handle family conferences with grace, compassion, and transparency. She made sure that families understood the plan of care and felt heard, which alleviated anxiety and built trust. She taught me that being a re-entry nurse isn't just about brushing up on clinical skills, it’s about reclaiming the critical thinking, and advocacy that defines our profession. Thank you to the entire team at Pruitt Health Christian City Rehab. I feel infinitely more prepared and confident to re-enter the nursing workforce because of the time I spent here. I recommend this facility without reservation to any prospective patients, families, or fellow nurses looking for a place to grow.
I selected this place for my father because years ago it was a better place. This place has gone downhill! It's clean, but the staff needs training and assistance. The head nurse Natasha seems nice but she has made a few promises not kept. My father has been there since the 1st week in June and as of Monday 6/15/2026 he was dressed in his clothes. They took his clothes to the department that labels and wash. There was a delay in getting someone to label his clothes. The head nurse blamed the staff that handles that who was off work. My father finally got his clothes and then another week to…
I selected this place for my father because years ago it was a better place. My father finally got his clothes and then another week to actually put his clothes on him. We kept getting the run around as to who is supposed to handle what. I blamed management because it was an easy job of labeling the clothes and setting up for laundry. Next problem, my father has used the assist button several times to get assistance, but often ignored. He waited for 3 hours to get his diaper changed. This has happened on 2 occasions. He was transported to his doctor appointment to Grady. The transport staff for Christian City has one person that was physically handicap and that concerns me in case of emergencies. I was present at the appointment as I was told last minute that Christian City DOES not accompany their patients at doctor appointments. I watched these people transport my father but if there was an emergency one person was handicapped herself and would not have been able to assist. Not to mention my father should be rehabilitating but they are not getting him up to use the bathroom and they let him lay there all day. This place is ok but there are many conniving situations that make you not trust some of the staff. Beware and stay alert!
Our mom is in assisted living. She’s been there for 2 years. We are very pleased with her care and attention from staff. Since she adjusted to the change, she has been very happy and content. The staff and Director have been responsive to our questions and concerns. We highly recommend this assisted living facility!
I was there in rehab for 20 days. I couldn't have asked for better care. The CNAs, nurses, dietary staff, housekeeping and physical therapy staff were very caring and competent in my care. The social workers and other staff visited to make sure my needs were met.
I was overwhelmed with trying to take of my dad as his dementia was getting worse. I was so happy to get him into Christain City. The staff is helpful and caring. The care team keeps me updated with monthly meetings and assist with eye care and dentistry. If you are lucky to get your patent or loved one in the facility, it’s a blessing.
I needed some records for my uncle, and Tai Garrett gave me exceptional customer service with the brightest smile and made everything easy from start to finish.
