Benton House of Newnan

My mom lived there seven years. The staff was very attentive and caring. She felt like family. Harvey, the director, takes an interest and ensures the residents get the proper care they need.

I really like the Benton House. I feel like everyone cares. There are lots of activities. Although my sister can't participate in all of them, she can still be with them, letting her feel included. [name removed], leads them in activities. She is young and sweet, and takes everything in stride. My sister likes her a lot. There are other women, who are also patients there, who have befriended my sister. That comforts me so much when I come to visit and see them sitting together, holding hands. I like the fact that I can visit any time, and I can take my sister out to eat, and run errands with me. She loves to go. She often cries when I have to leave. The staff members are good about diverting her attention.

Excellent, compassionate care with professional staff. Very nice facility and environment. Activities director is the best! There is something to do everyday if you choose to participate, and lunch out in the community at a local restaurant on Wednesday.

It's a fantastic facility. My father loved it. The staff are amazing and it felt homey. The staff truly loved and cared for my Dad. They were awesome.

Mom has lived at The Benton House of Newnan for over 3 years. She absolutely LOVES her life there. After my father passed away, mom was naturally devastated and depressed. They were married for more than 65 years, and he died unexpectedly. When she began showing signs of dementia, our family knew she needed to be surrounded by others in similar situations. She needed to be exposed to social activities to keep her mind stimulated. She already had several friends who were residents at Benton House of Newnan. After a family conference, we all agreed she needed to be there too. Her dementia has slowed its progression and she laughs more often. She especially enjoys crafting and the regularly scheduled bus trips. She is spoiled by the staff. Many of them treat her like their own family. Mom still owns her home, but she doesn't miss visiting there anymore. She doesn't want to miss any of her daily activities. Our family is very comforted and blessed to have mom living at The Benton House of Newnan. We sincerely appreciate all that is done to keep mom and the other residents happy, safe and nurtured.
