4.2 · 109 reviewsI visited and toured five different assisted living facilities in the Woodstock area before choosing Bellevue Village at Woodstock for a dear family friend who has no local relatives. I visited and toured five different assisted living facilities in the Woodstock area before choosing Bellevue Village at Woodstock for a dear family friend who has no local relatives. From the moment I walked through the front door, I was treated like a friend. No high-pressure sales pitches trying to convince me on why I should choose this place. . . .just warm, friendly, caring, compassionate people who asked about my needs and actually listened to what I said. They bent over backward to work with me and to make the move-in and transition of my friend as smooth as possible. All things being equal, I think the price is better than the other facilities I looked at. I visit Bellevue Village every day, not only to see my friend, but also to visit the staff and other residents, all of whom I have come to know and care about. Other than an occasional complaint about the food, I've never heard anything but positive comments from the residents. I visit the facility at different times of the day and the quality of care, attentiveness, and cleanliness have always been consistently high. All the staff I've met there seem to really like their jobs and the people they care for. As people age, isolation is common and of great concern for those we love. The Bellevue staff always encourage residents to engage with others through shared mealtimes, activities (I like the ice cream socials the best!), and local outings. It's a warm and inviting place. The executive director, Brook Kenney, is one of the most approachable and friendly people I've ever met at an organization. She seems to genuinely care about each and every resident in her care and for humanity in general--a trait I see less and less of the older I get. I don't think anyone truly wants to go to assisted living or put a loved one in assisted living--it's a difficult decision. But if I ever have to go into assisted living--hopefully not for another 20 years or so--Bellevue Village at Woodstock is where I would choose to go.
My grandfather is at Bellevue, and we’ve been really happy with the care he receives. The staff is attentive and genuinely caring, which gives our family peace of mind. We’re grateful to know he’s in good hands.
My loved one is at Bellevue, and we are extremely pleased with the care she receives. The staff-to-resident ratios allow for individualized attention, which truly makes a difference in the quality of care. The community is privately owned and operated by a physician, and it is led by an experienced nurse which gives me a great sense of confidence and relief knowing she is in capable, compassionate hands.

As a hospice provider working with many assisted living communities in the area, Bellevue Village of Woodstock stands out for its exceptional teamwork and communication. Brook the Executive Director and nurse, consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and strong clinical leadership. Partnering with Bellevue is always smooth and collaborative, and it’s clear their priority is quality care and resident well-being.”

Highly recommend Bellevue to anyone looking for quality care in a loving environment.”
It's so great to see my mother very happy at Bellevue Woodstock. We recently moved her to Bellevue from another ALF, and she now says she feels at home. The staff have been very welcoming, helpful, kind, responsive and engaging. The inside is clean, beautifully decorated (Christmas) and has provided a much more intimate atmosphere for my mother. I highly recommend considering this home for your loved one.
My 91 year old Mom has been a resident at Bellevue Village at Woodstock for over a year and a half now. The facilities are clean and the meals are nutritious. It has a comfortable atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Mom's rent includes meals & snacks, apartment cleaning, laundry as well as primary care Doctor visits when needed, podiatrists and hair stylists. My siblings and I who all live in different parts of the country have peace of mind knowing that Mom is in a safe community that cares for her. There was a stretch of time when there was a lack of entertainment and activities for the residents but the new Executive Director Ginger Laprise has improved on that greatly. There are now activities and entertainment to keep Mom engaged and happy. Communication between Bellevue and me and my siblings is excellent.
Ginger, the Executive Director, did an amazing job admitting one of my clients. She went way above and beyond to take care of the family and client. Giving her a hospital bed and setting the bed up with her staff. It was a very difficult situation being that the daughter was also unwell and need led a lot of handholding and TLC. Ginger really came through.
