This is the most wonderful nursing home with an attentive and compassionate staff. Our grandmother was here several years for 7 years, and she was cared for in every way possible. The staff were loving, kind, and caring. More recently our mother was here for almost 3 years before she died, and the nurses and nursing aides took amazing care of her as well. The staff always kept my brother and I informed of her various medical issues and we were so happy to know that she was being cared for in the most responsible and supportive way. This is A great place to live and the Nurse's are always ready to care for The resident's.
We're leaning towards Baptist Village - The Villas at Waycross for my mother. The tour was very nice and very informative. Everything was clean inside. The staff was very friendly. I felt like my mom would be in good hands there. We toured it for independent living, but we wanted to be able to increase her care as needed. We saw a tennis court, and they had a pavilion there, so the family could come and visit, and there's like a barbecue area. I wasn't paying too much attention to activities, but it looked like they had a social hall. They have an activities director. The staff during the tour was very informative. She showed us all the living situations. She answered any questions we had and talked about things that we didn't think of asking. I liked it.
Very impressive facility; we were transferring a patient here for rehab, and got good service and support from the staff.
There's a lake.nice place to retire to.everyone there is nice especially the guard at the gate who gave me directions to a house
