My dad spent several weeks here, and we were pleased with his stay. It was easy for me to find a nurse if he needed help while I was visiting, and the staff was quick to respond to anything we asked of them. One nurse in particular, Barbara, went way beyond anything we expected. She was a very hard worker, cheerful, and made sure he was taken care of and was comfortable before she left for the day. Administrators, therapist, and the entire staff were personable, knowledgeable, and treated us with much respect.

The people there are kind, I do feel like the response time for assistance could be improved. My mom said she waited an hour before someone helped her to the bathroom. Also saw a housekeeper playing on her phone and questioned the priority of cleanliness. The staff being curtious and helping my mom recover is the biggest priority and they do that well!

The staff at the Winder Center for Nursing and Healing is wonderful. From the sweetheart at the front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone if so welcoming. The healthcare professionals taking care of my loved one, are so caring and attentive. They show you that they care and keep you updated on their progress. I appreciate them very much.

Our mother was at the Center for 20 days of rehabilitation after 2.5 weeks of hospitalization. The care provided to her was outstanding. They stayed on top of her medical issues while getting her mobility back to baseline. The staff was attentive and kind. The facility is very clean.

The facility is a little outdated but the staff makes up for that. Everyone was very caring and friendly. After speaking with staff I was sure I chose the right place.

Having experienced the care at this nursing home for over a year and a half, I feel it is essential to share my thoughts on the quality of service. The nurses on Hall Three have been outstanding in their care and kindness towards my mother. Recently, my mother just decided that she wanted a private room and chose one on 100 hall. After a recent plumbing incident on the 100 hall she was relocated back to the 300 hall. I had to move my mother's belongings to a new room back on the 300 hall. As I carried heavy bags down 100 Hall passing the nurses station four times, I noticed a group of six or more nurses gathered around the desk who did not offer any assistance despite my visible struggle. There was one nurse, whose name I wish I knew, who happened to be walking down Hallway Three hundred after about my third go around offered to carry my bag. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated that. However, the other six or so nurses sitting around the desk never once offered any help. I guess common courtesy is hard to find these days. Another thing is the phone system after 5 o'clock; is nonexistent you will not be able to reach any of the nurses' stations in the facility. It will ring, there may or may not be a recording, but you will not be able to speak to anyone or leave a message. I have complained about it and sent emails, but I have gotten no response. Please make sure your loved one has a cell phone so you can reach them at all times.

This is my second family member to receive care at this center. Both experiences were great. Very friendly staff.

My husband had serious health issues including a major blood clot in his leg, gangrene in his gall bladder and three deep tissue bed sores he got while being at Winder. While I didn’t know exactly what was wrong with him, I knew he was getting noticeably worse. After consulting with his primary care physician, I was told to take him to ER. I requested medical transport to the hospital and the facility refused and was told that they had a doctor on staff. Had I not called 911 and taken him to the hospital, he would not have survived the week.
