Joni, Linda, Amanda, and the entire Woods staff were amazing. My Mother was there for 14 months and they treated her and our family like we were their family . She stayed there until her death and I couldn’t have asked for a group of more caring and loving staff. I would strongly recommend this facility for anyone that needs assisted living for a loved one.
They recently had a COVID breakout. It’s no wonder when there is no one to staff the entrance where you will find a box of masks, a digital thermometer and hand sanitizer. You can just walk right past and not even sign in. The times I visited some staff members wore masks and some did not. They say it is a smoke free community, however that is not even enforced since there were staff members outside smoking. The so called person in charge never had a mask on and was witnessed serving food, she later tested positive for COVID. I believe the only staff members that truly cared for the patients…

I believe the only staff members that truly cared for the patients were Mary and Donna, and I want to thank them for your kindness and caring. Check this place out thoroughly before admitting your family members. The outside is very deceiving.
The Woods Assisted Senior Living was a very small facility. It's nice, but the only thing available was memory care, and we're not at that point yet. The rooms were small and there was nothing available in the assisted living part.
Awesome place with a wonderful staff. And for $3,600 a month you would expect no less. But the sunroom needs a Heater replacement. This is their only Outlet to the outdoors. And there is a door there, so every time it opens there is a blast of cold air with a broken heater, fix it!
My now deceased mother-in-law lived there two years, and my own mother has been there almost 2 1/2 years. It's generally a good place, and is the best in the Griffin area by far. The rooms, building and grounds are definitely better than average for one of these places, and the staff is usually pretty diligent, caring, and friendly. The food gets mixed reviews, probably because almost all of it is pre-made stuff from commercial suppliers, but it is edible. The most frequent complaint is "Not Enough Meat!", meaning real solid beef, etc. The off-site ownership and management can be a little stingy and the rent is a little on the high side. Despite the flaws, it is the best in Griffin and I feel fine about my Mother being there.
The Woods was very nice. Everyone we talked to and ran into was excellent. They were friendly and very accommodating. I don't have any complaints whatsoever. They did everything they could to show us around and make us feel comfortable. The rooms were good, clean, and had nothing really wrong with them, except the kitchenette was quite small. The grounds were well-kept. We went in the back where there's a little, comfortable place where you could sit outside. From what I’ve seen, I would definitely recommend them.
we found about two out of six caregivers who are very efficient and that we would like to take care of our family we have had issues with scheduling and the unavailability of the scheduler via text or voicemail from the caregiver family or the staff – we have overnight staff who sleep through their overnight rotation. we have had caregivers who have not shown up -not to their fault but have not been able to coordinate with their coordinator because of inability to contact the coordinator
Great staff.
