Independent home with attached garages, very spacious and soundproof. Plenty of room for wide wheelchairs or even scooters, some homes have sunrooms and a patio in the back.. With the exception of Wi-Fi, everything else is taken care of in your rent. This place is clean. It's gated. And there's always something to do. If you wish to indulge yourself.
The cleanliness of The Cottages on Wesleyan was good and their maintenance was also good. I liked the fact that the foyer and the common area didn't have carpet in it and the rooms were nice. They were wide enough for one person. It was a nice facility. The employees were nice as well.
My mother was at the Cottages at Wesleyan for over 10 years. She began in independent living and then assisted living for the remainder of her life. As a retired nurse I believe I am a good judge of quality of care. I highly recommend the Cottages and their care of my mother.
My mother started out in independent living for about seven years before moving to her assisted living apartment for the next 4+ years. We were extremely pleased with both units she called home. The staff is wonderful! Numerous activities and events provided for residents. I highly recommend the Cottages for your family and would be glad to answer any questions regarding our experience.
Don't move here just don't move here please don't move here it's not worth it it's not it's not worth it because of the end of the day they not going to fix nothing of yours the spiders their snakes they don't care about nobody safety or kids
Not the best in communication with family/caregivers. They ask about foods that the residents can eat or not eat. My mother was given food that made her sick. First aid supplies were not on premises. Nurse had to call husband to bring bandages. This place is very pretty but looks can be deceiving. I would not recommend the Cottages on Wesleyan.
A beautiful community with pristine grounds is nice to look at, but it can keep you from making a clear-eyed assessment of the quality of care offered, which is the most important factor to consider. Make sure to look beyond expensive carpeting, trees in the courtyard, or flower arrangements in the dining room. Those things can add value to the community, but they're not everything.
I like The Cottages on Wesleyan. The only thing I don't like about it is it's located in a busy section of town. If it's the right time of day, you would have a hard time getting in and out of your place of living. It was very nice and well-kept. If they would put a red light down the street from them instead of a four-way stop, it might help the traffic situation. Everybody was wonderful to me and I met some of the senior citizens that live there and enjoyed my time there. The staff was very nice. They serve meals there. If you wanted to eat, you could. It is just nicely kept and there were people busy helping, taking care of things that need to be done for people and that's what I need. It would be nice to be able to call for help when I needed it. They took me to two different apartments and showed me around. They were willing to open back up and show my children if they wanted to come and see. The rooms were nice and nice sized.
