The luxury of having maintenance at your hand and you basically just live a comfortable life with nice respectable staff is what I have been looking for. So, if your looking for comfort, a great staff in every department and stress free place to live,The Cottage is where you need to think of for retirement and comfortable living.
Before my uncle passed away, our family was in the process of trying to get him into The Cottages of Milledgeville. Everything we heard and experienced during that process was absolutely phenomenal. We were very impressed with the community and truly believed it would have been a wonderful place for him. Unfortunately, before we could complete the process and get him moved in, he was hospitalized and ultimately had to have both of his legs amputated. We were very impressed with the community and truly believed it would have been a wonderful place for him. Unfortunately, before we could complete the process and get him moved in, he was hospitalized and ultimately had to have both of his legs amputated. Because of the change in his medical condition, he was never able to move into the facility. Although he never had the opportunity to become a resident, I will always remember how positive our experience was while considering The Cottages. Based on what we learned, the environment, services, and care appeared exceptional. I only wish my uncle had been able to experience it for himself. ❤️🙏🏾

The facility seems to be understaffed and cannot provide a consistent level of service. The personnel are not managed to ensure good performance. My mother consistently complains that the menu is the same with little to no variation. My mother states that the activities a juvenile. The Cottages are overpriced for the service and quality of care received.
We are very happy at the Cottages. My mother is now completely blind now. The staff is very attentive and takes wonderful care of her. She can walk and take care of her personal needs but she needs help with choosing clothes and guiding her walk to meals and activities. They help her by gathering needs for morning and bedtime routines. They accommodate her food requests and let her know what food is where on her plate. It is the perfect place for her. The staff is like family. They give her the assistance that she needs but she still feels independent which is very important to her.
The Cottages are nice and a good size. However, not updated. More like living in the 80's nothing modern and the cheapest things that can put in. You pay for everything extra you would like to have such as privacy fence, storm door and a few more things. They have no amenities. Such as a club house, pool, exercise room, side walks. These are advertised as Luxury Living. Price is above market value and keeps going up. For what you get in the way of amenities and no updating. However, the neighbors are wonderful, full of life and fun. We Independents do quite a bit things together. I don't dislike living here the cottages are very roomie and convenient to shopping, restaurants and other activities.
A 5 for each category. The facility and staff are wonderful. My mother is very happy at The Cottages of Milledgeville.
She likes everything about the Cottages, except the meals. I thought the meals look pretty good myself! The facility is nice and the staff and residents are friendly! Renee does a great job with activities and she seems to enjoy what she does.
