4.6 · 56 reviewsReally great community! Aaron and Staci are great to work with and will do anything they can to make this community a home for your loved one.
Excellent community! Lots of care & concern for the residents’ well-being (physical, social, spiritual, etc). From the front door & all the way through, visitors, families, etc are welcomed & made to feel at home. Alto is a wonderful addition to the Ringgold/Fort Oglethorpe area. 👍🏻
Mom was there from January of 2025 to July of 2025 in the memory care unit. We loved the beautiful facility and the staff was very helpful, caring and attentive. The food at that time was less than desirable but I’ve heard that issue has since been dealt with. The overall stay was great! I highly recommend Alto.

Since Aaron Perry stepped in as Executive Director almost 2 months ago, the positive changes at Alto at Boynton Ridge have been immediate and noticeable. From the moment you walk in, you can feel a renewed sense of pride, teamwork, and energy throughout the community. The building looks better, smells better, and most importantly—the staff works better together. That kind of shift starts with strong leadership. I have been in this building multiple times lately and always hear families and residents speaking about how much they love him. Aaron brings years of experience along with a military background that shows in how efficiently and effectively the community runs. But what truly sets him apart is his servant leadership—you’ll find him just as quickly helping residents and supporting staff as you will handling operations. Alto is truly fortunate to have him. I can't wait to see how far it comes a year from now!
My mom has been a resident at the Canopy at Boynton Ridge since the spring of 2022. She regularly says the food is terrible. The menus are poorly planned. The food is poorly presented. Food is sometimes small portions, over or under cooked, too many starches in one meal, etc. She says breakfast is usually good but lunch and dinner are terrible. According to her, she is not the only resident who feels this way. She also says that the facility management does not seem to care at all about making appropriate changes to improve the food...hire a better chef, have better menus, etc. She also says that overall the management is unresponsive. The change of ownership to Allegro has not improved the food situation. One would think with the price per month to live there, the food could at least be palatable and inviting. I regularly suggest to her that we go look at other places. Alto / The Canopy at Boyton Ridge is not the only game in town.
They advertise gourmet meals. Meals are often inedible. Meat is often tough, Very little variety. They need to offer better options. Despite the high cost of living here, we have to buy additional food. Also they failed to mention that the price goes up EVERY year. What part of fixed income don't they understand. Buyer beware.
Hate that it was time for my best friend to choose a new home I know it has to be a very difficult time in life when you have to go live with strangers So you must pick a loving clean and safe one I have been told that the food at the Canopy is delicious The lady that does hair is very good at Her job People are very kind Never be Home but the closest place to it
Facility is very nice with a beautiful view of the mountains. Staff are very friendly and helpful in all situations and willingly accommodate any requests as much as practicable. Lots of fun activities with the guests. My mom has a private room that is about the size of a medium bedroom with its own full bathroom. I would say size is appropriate for a memory care facility.
