A Truly Exceptional Memory Care Community As a service provider working with senior citizens, I spend a great deal of time in and out of residential care communities. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the difference that compassionate leadership and a caring environment can make. I must say that I am always impressed by Smyrna Memory Care. The residents consistently appear happy, engaged, and genuinely thriving. The community offers frequent activities that are thoughtfully tailored to their abilities and interests. It is evident that the goal is not simply to provide care, but to create an environment where residents can continue to experience purpose, connection, and joy. One of the things that stands out most to me is the involvement of the owner. She is frequently on site and takes the time to personally interact with residents. She knows them by name, speaks with them warmly, and demonstrates a genuine compassion and caring that is immediately noticeable. Having visited many senior residential communities through my work, I can confidently say that Smyrna Memory Care stands out. The atmosphere, resident engagement, and personal involvement of leadership all speak volumes about the quality of care being provided. When I chose to move my loved one from a facility where he contracted a severe UTI and had to be hospitalized, I had to find another facility immediately. I was totally blessed to find Smyrna Village. His reaction to the facility when taken to his room was "I like this house". Smyrna Village gives a homey safe and secure vibe. The staff is attentive and caring and I am notified immediately of any issues when they occur, no matter the hour. I am also informed of his good days. I love the fact I don't find out about a health or behavior issue days later. I know he is safe, well fed, entertained and kept clean. He even went on outings before his condition declined. I visit often at different times of the day so I KNOW the care and attentiveness are genuine because it never changes. Having my loved one at Smyrna Village definitely gives me peace of mind and provides the constant care that I am unable to give.
