My aunt is a patient in this nursing home and it's terrible. We have constantly asked them to not allow certain family members on her husband side in there because they agitate her and they do the opposite. She is in a wheel chair and just lost her husband and they don't seem to be making her mental well being a priority at all
Placed my dad here for respite .. the facility needs updating but the people, the staff are wonderful. I didnt have to ask them to put him in his wheelchair, it was done without me saying a word. The staff would come randomly speak with him. They genuinely cared for the patients
I suffered an injury. After treatment at a local hospital I was sent to Reliable for rehabilitation. My first impression of the facility was one of dread. Could not believe people were the residents of such an aesthetically disgusting facility. I was wheeled in through the rear of the building through the medical transport/laundry room/trash door. What a nasty, filthy, poorly maintained place. The foul odor of urine, feces and hell knows whatever slapped me in the face upon entering. My room was small, roach infested yes roaches and an electrical fire hazard. The TV was actually not a…
I suffered an injury. The TV was actually not a television, but a very small computer monitor. My roommate was a man with an advanced disease who eventually died soon after my arrival. Forget about any actual rehab taking place. The rehab room was actually a storage area for cleaning carts and prosthetics of residents who died and whose relatives allowed to facility to just keep. The “rehab” staff spent more time on their personal computers and discussing their next meals. During the length of my entire time there, I didn’t see one person leave to place after successful rehabilitation. Reliable is more suited for people with advanced walking dementia. They are all over the place. Walking and disturbing other residents. The staff here complain, whine, bitch and moan all day and night. Slow to respond to your needs. There are of course a few good ones there. The place is a nightmare. It is a place it appears people are sent who are just awaiting death shortly. I am surprised it is still licensed and allowed to operate. Please don’t send anyone you love to this place. Find another facility if you can. Good luck.
My sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Reliable Health & Rehab at Lakewood. The care that our family member received was above and beyond our expectations. Donna The admissions coordinator was exceptional. She made the admission process so easy and with each visit she always made our family feel welcomed. The nurses that cared for him, Ashley, Akii and Reggie gave him the care and attention that they would give to their own family. The Aides were AMAZING.!!The care our family member received left us no worries or major concerns. After our family member was discharged to come home, the follow up calls proves the staff really cares. If you are looking for a care facility for your loved ones I highly recommend Reliable, you will be most satisfied with the care and love that they give to their patients.
This is the second time I've put my mom here due to the fact that she was bed redden before and got better but now she is getting older and I really cannot take care of her like she needs to be taken care of. My mom can be a hand full and if she doesn't like something, she will definitely let you know. Which is why I'm comfortable with here being here. I visit her very frequently along with some of my other siblings. Everyone loves her here and she loves them too. Everytime I come she makes sure everyone knows me and the staff is always courteous. I'm not sure why the low score but from my experience, and my mom's, I think they are wonderful.
I encourage who ever has a loved one or someone they care about to reconsider. Facility is run down and filthy. The state should have regulations regarding this, building and residents rooms are falling apart. Residents laying in filth with files on residents body, nets flying around over residents medicine and hands covered in feces. Not ok! Another residents wound was not cared for properly and resulted in an infection. Which still wasn’t been cleaned. When asked why two nurses were sitting at the desk and one aide to each hall with no assistance, answer was they were understaffed. If facility is willing to pay agency staff extra, then pay the workers who actually work there at least 20 an hour. As more than half the residents are two person assist. Which contributes to the lack of care. Lifts and other assistive equipment need to be in place as well. Recommend at least 3 aides to each hall, 2 aides to each hall to split each hall and 1 aide added to each hall to help with lifting, changing and whatever proper care is needed. Recommend nurses to help assist as well and ensure wounds etc. are taken care of properly. State should check in on facility once a month anonymously. Why? To ensure the safety and conditions are safe and sanitized. Recommend remodel and update building or new building for sure, because mold and ceiling falling apart. This review is keeping things cordial as the conditions are horrid and go a lot deeper than this review.
