Went to deliver food and on my way out the door didn't open. I was there for a while. Mind you the heater was blasting in this small area and is like a small room in the entrance. So I tried different ways to open the door until finally an African lady who apparently works the front desk but was m.i.a., came fussing because I was trying to get out. The lady was so rude I decided to share this with you. If I am a young person and in a public area and this lady was so rude to me, I can't imagine how she treats the older people behind closed doors. Yall better look out for your loves ones here.
My mother has been at The Orchard at Brookhaven for over two years now. We relocated her from another facility as her memory continued to decline and we didnt feel like her prior location was able to service her needs. While she has spent the last two years at The Orchard , she has had three different levels of care . Currently she is receiving the highest level of care as her needs have increased. The best decision we have made regarding her care was the relocation. The staff is great from the top down. It is a very trying position taking care of the memory impaired , but they seem to handle…
It is a very trying position taking care of the memory impaired , but they seem to handle it with grace and compassion. Most every person I have come in contact with has done a great job with my mom and shows her the attention that she deserves. I would recommend The Orchard to anyone that has a loved one that requires memory care of any type as they are able to handle it all.
I had a relative at Orchard for several years and he received good care and attention. He was completely disinterested in the activities, no matter how hard we tried to involve him, but the calendar had so much live music and activity. I would recommend Orchard as a good community, particularly for folks with some memory loss.
I don’t necessarily write reviews this will be my first one that’s how serious I am. I wish it was something nice I could say this place staffing are extremely careless and rude! Memory care residents receive little to no care, money is being spent on facilities looks and not activities or residents well memory care residents sit in urine until the staffing shift is ending. The nurse Ruth sits in the office all day and does pop ins no real observation on the place or residents.
Worst facility I’ve ever been to the resident sit around all day and watch American idol no real activity I wouldn’t send a dog to this facility. The workers are very rude and bossy to each other and to residents if I could give zero stars I would. I felt very unsafe and uneasy doing my agency shift here which unfortunately lead me to leave I couldn’t imagine how residents feel. I would recommend Benton house, prema of Ashton hills, & Holbrook assisted livings as a Med tech, CNA and nursing student don’t send your loved ones here .
Orientation was amazing, I can really say I learned a lot more about dementia and it’s pretty interesting, people should look more into it!!!, you’ll be surprised.
I cannot say enough about the staff at The Orchard at Brookhaven. They are kind and caring in every way. The Orchard Team also excels when it comes to events for residents. So much time goes into planning and executing the events and every staff member engages with the residents. It's truly what sets The Orchard apart from other communities.
Orchard is a warming and inviting place. I was apart of the original Tucker,GA location and I’m glad to now be apart of our Brookhaven community. We did our Virtual Dementia Tour yesterday and it put a whole new perspective on how to approach and take care of our residents. We welcome all and love the atmosphere of what we bring and offer
