Skilled nursing side prepares the food for the assisted living and they’ve improved tremendously!

This is the meal they served my dad. They served it just like you see in the picture. He has not eaten a bite of it. Luckily my dad has family around to bring him meals. I feel bad for the people that have no choice but to eat this trash. Whoever approved these meals should be ashamed of themselves. How do they get away with serving this? It’s not even warm.

Great facility!

My stepfather is in this facility for rehab. Based on what I have observed over the couple of days, I do not recommend this facility. He was in the same clothes for 2.5 days. Never assisted to use the restroom which left him soaked. Meals are all cold since there is no on site kitchen. They are brought in from an outside company. Water, ice and milk is not refilled on the weekends. Food company is giving wrong information as to what food they are serving. French fries served instead of roasted potatoes and a hard roll instead of cornbread. Money is being given and the menu is approved but the correct food is not being distributed.

I could write a novel about why my review is 1 star.

I visit the facility regularly. I am greeted by friendly staff and the facility is always very clean and the residents seem happy and well cared for.

While the nursing staff and PT are good, I cannot believe the sugary, high carb, no-protein diet the facility provides to diabetics. Last night was pasta, a roll, carrots and sweet tea. Tonight is two slices of bread, sweet tea, chips, lemon pie, and coleslaw. Seems the facility lack a dietician/nutritionalist. I’ve written and called PruittHealth with no response. First thing Monday, I’m calling to report them to the healthcare facility regulation division of the Georgia Department of community. Just unconscionable. 4/7/2025. so I had to call in -AGAIN- and get a recording, then have someone tell me someone will call me back! Ah ha ha. Y’all messy. So here’s last few days lunches/dinners. Again, for a diabetic patient. Sandwich, French fries, canned pears, and sweet tea. The alternative was a sandwich and Cheetos. Mac & cheese, fried okra, Cornbread, canned peaches and sweet tea. You can’t make this stuff up.

My best friend is in the Oaks and has been there for 4 days when I got there her bag had not been unpacked. She came from the hospital. Which meant none of her personal hygiene stuff had been used. There were no signs of a tooth brush, toothpaste, hair brush, lotion, lip moisturizer, cell phone! Nothing had been used! No signs of her being turned. The lady in her room said no one had come in to turn her! She can’t roll over, feed herself or walk! The place smelled terrible of urine!!! And the floors were filthy!!! If we could afford to go somewhere else we would. I work and wasn’t able to accompany her on her move from the hospital. The staff seemed overwhelmed.
