Wonderful staff, very clean building, and delicious food. The experience with North Spring was really good!
The staff was warm and welcoming they took good care of my husband
I am so thankful that our community has this special “home”. I frequently take my mother to visit a friend that lives there. The staff is kind and attentive and the “residence” is clean, inviting and welcoming! . The care given to the residents is exceptional. Overall, this home is a wonderful asset to our community. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and well-managed residential environment.
My mama is a resident at Amber grove @Northspring. I really appreciate the patience and care the staff give to my mom. She loves all of her new friends and my family loves knowing she is taken care of. Mama and the house manager are the best of friends.
Where to begin about the care that Sherry and the other employees have shown to my partners Grandma. I have been in healthcare for 34 years as a paramedic, I have seen and been to many assisted living and skilled nursing facilities over the years, to the point of being critical of them. Not with Amber Grove at North Spring. What a breath of fresh air. They have taken on the difficult task of caring for our most important generation, and they do it very well. From the very first time we walked in the door, my confidence that Grandma would be well taken care of increased tremendously. After 80 something years of independence, I can only imagine the thoughts of the person moving in to a new environment. Emotions I am sure are variable for the residents. Fear, the what if's and anything else probably are constant from the beginning. Sherry and her staff from the very beginning have made Grandma's transition very smooth, and has not only put Grandma's mind at ease, but the families minds as well. Any questions or concerns have been immediately taken care of quickly and correctly. It has been a blessing to see Grandma actually be around peers of her age. I have seen her go from eating sporadically to enjoying three hot meals a day. Her needs are well taken care of and without hesitation. Sherry has been without a doubt a column of support not only for Grandma, but for us as well. All of the staff have been phenomenal, but I also have been very thankful for three other ladies who have been extra attentive to Grandma. Linda White, Mary Beth Cowart, and Joy Meeks along with House Manager Sherry Almond without a doubt are second to none; with the care these ladies provide. I know Grandma is well taken care of and that is a God send to the family as well. If you are facing the issue of a loved one having to move to an assisted living and you are in range of Amber Grove North Spring. Do yourself a big favor and go see Sherry. I promise any hesitation and fear will be immediately calmed as soon as you walk in the door and feel the positive energy that radiates from the care these ladies have for each and every resident.
I too have a family member residing at this location. They’ve made her transition from 100% independence to assisted living a much easier one. As she went through her phases of acceptance, they’ve been there to adapt to her and win her over. Many residents can be a handful, yet the staff have been nothing but patient. I’ve seen it firsthand in wonder. She has learned that assistance and autonomy can sometimes coincide. Plus it never hurts when someone else is cooking you three square meals a day and doing all your laundry 😉 Yes, they face all the same challenges as the rest of the world at times. Staffing shortages and whatnot. They face challenges that are unique to the occupation that one would never have been able to guess or even fathom without having experienced it firsthand alongside them. What I know beyond any of it is that every one of the women I see on a daily basis bend over backwards to help one another and fill any gaps in coverage to ensure these residents are cared for at all times. The biggest appreciation I have is how much they care, truly care, for the residents. It makes all the difference. Special shout outs to Sherry Almond (House Manager) and the two that tie for my heart’s first place spot, Linda White and Mary Beth Cowart. Hearts of gold the Pearly Gates themselves would be proud to shine upon. We couldn’t have done any of this without them.
My family couldn’t have asked for better care than what was given to my dear sweet Grandmother while she was at Northspring!! Having a loved one somewhere that you have full confidence in the care that they are given is truly priceless. We could not have asked for better. North spring will always hold a very special place in my heart 🤍
My 95-year-old Papa is a resident at Amber Grove, and after looking at several different places, this one truly stood out to our family. The staff are consistently friendly, caring, and knowledgeable, and having a nurse on site gives us added peace of mind. The manager is incredibly responsive and handles any questions or concerns with both professionalism and genuine compassion. One of the things we appreciate most is the balance they provide—my Papa is able to maintain his independence while still being checked on regularly throughout the day. There are plenty of activities available, but he always has the choice to participate as much or as little as he wants. The environment itself feels warm and welcoming, more like a home than a facility. With music, games, and kind staff, it creates a space that feels comfortable and uplifting. They also make it very easy for me to visit or take him out to spend time with family, whether it’s for holidays or just a simple outing. I’m truly grateful for Amber Grove and the care, respect, and attention they give my Papa every day.
