At Magnolia Manor, we came to experience something very special- not just a place where people live, but a community where people truly care for one another. At Magnolia Manor, we came to experience something very special- not just a place where people live, but a community where people truly care for one another. During our visits, we were always greeted with warm hellos from the entire staff. During the late afternoon a group of six to eight residents would sit in the white rocking chairs at the front entrance taking advantage of what slight breeze may exist, telling stories and always offering a smile or a laugh with us, it felt like family. What stood out most was the way everyone looked after each other. When our mother was sick, one neighbor quietly stepped in to clean our mom's room when she wasn't feeling well. Other friends volunteered to drive her to chemo treatments and yet others each day at lunch agreed to eat her dessert (guys- you know who you are). This past Saturday, we celebrated our mom's Celebration of Life at Magnolia Manor. We would be remiss if we did not thank all of you for wrapping your arms around each of us and providing the love, compassion and care that helped ease our pain over the last weeks and months. You cared for us as if we were your family. We can't thank Chaplain Frank enough for his meaningful words during the service as well as during the days and weeks prior. God Bless the incredible Magnolia Manor team from Roxan the Administrator, to Nanci, Ali, Monica and all that were there for my mom and my family. You all will never be forgotten!

The great folks at Magnolia Manor provided my Mom a day tour to aid her in deciding whether to move to their facility. Not only did they roll-out the red carpet, the also hosted her 79th Birthday party! That day was more than enough for my Mom to make the decision to move into their fantastic facility!

This campus is the epitome of Crème de la crèm. Simply the best. Don’t take my word for it. Schedule a tour today!

My beautiful grandma lives here!

It's a nice place but when you first walk in it has a musty smell to it.

We moved my mom to Magnolia Manor about 3 years ago. She was in independent living up until January of this year. The independent living there is awesome. There are so many activities and everyone is so friendly and caring. It's really like a family. If I were rating Magnolia Manor solely on independent living, I would rate it 4.5/5 (food is not very good). The reason for the overall 3/5 is because of the assisted living. The level of care offered is minimal at best. You pretty much have to be able to do most things on your own. While help with showers and dressing is supposed to be included, when my mom's private care giver who normally did that for her was on vacation, we were told we needed to hire someone because my mom took too long. Mom was allowed to push her pendant for someone to assist in getting her to and from the bathroom however there was only stand-by assistance with her walker and single person transfer with a wheel chair. A few would help her get in and out of the wheelchair in the bathroom and help her with her clothes when she was struggling but there were others who would offer no assistance at all. When I brought that to the attention of the AL director she outright said she didn't believe it and that my mom should have asked for help. The last couple of weeks she was there we had to hire sitters at night because she occasionally got up by herself and would end up on the floor. Needless to say we were paying almost as much for outside help as for the cost of AL there. There are so many other assisted living communities that offer different levels of care and the cost is comparable to Magnolia Manor. So if you need more than 3 meals a day, medication management and light housekeeping, find another Assisted Living community. In conclusion, independent living there is awesome, but the AL, not so much. Update 6/16/25: I have changed the rating from 3/5 to 1/5. My mom checked out of Magnolia Manor in Richmond Hill on May 28. She should have been credited with 3 days since she left before the end of the month. Instead her checking account was debited $4595 for June. Upon calling the corporate office, I learned that the Magnolia Manor business office did not check her out with the corporate office. I called the Richmond Hill campus about it but I did not even receive an apology. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and I'm still waiting on reimbursement. I do not recommend Magnolia Manor on the Coast. New management is definitely needed.

So many things have happened since I’ve had to check my father into magnolia manor in Richmond hill and these two ladies have been amazing. Not just them but Sam and Al have really helped my father with the issues that occurred and Sam in particular even stops on his way back in from lunch to talk with my father and try to make him smile which is SO appreciated since it’s very hard for my father to communicate back to [name removed]. All of the staff have been extremely accommodating and it makes me feel very secure in the fact I’ve chosen magnolia manor as the place for my father to recover from his stroke. Thank you to this establishment and these people for their amazing service and support!

Moving at 81 years old is not easy but with a great moving company and the help of the friendly staff somehow it got accomplished. My first day here I was greeted by several residents with warm welcoming smiles and offers of help if I needed anything. I was also told by many residents that I was going to love it here and after one week that has turned out to be true. I have chosen to eat lunch each day and I'm assigned the same table each day and have 3 other tablemates. It makes for some lively conversations and a great social hour. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and there are many beautiful walking paths. I walked by the ponds today and saw lots of fish and turtles. I also love having a screened porch to keep the bugs away and it gives me a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view of the pond and water spout. I feel the building must be very sturdy and well insulated as I never hear any noises after closing my apartment door. Its also very quiet at night.
