Worth the money and full of great people with great priorities and heart.

This is the best place

We went to look at Madison Health and Rehab, and I was not impressed. It was an unplanned visit, so the administrator was not there. I talked to the person who does the recreation. They were friendly and helpful. But we had to call the administrator to get some information about the costs and that type of thing. They didn't have any information written out or anything like that for people. They had semi-private rooms. They looked like there had not been much upkeep on the whole facility. They didn't have any information written out or anything like that for people. They had semi-private rooms. They looked like there had not been much upkeep on the whole facility. My grandmother was out there 25 years ago, and it didn't look like it changed at all. They were more expensive than an assisted living facility. I would not want to put anybody out there. It needed some TLC too. It needs a major facelift, both outside and inside.

My 101 year old mom will go in on tomorrow, I visited on last Tuesday and I were happy to see a worker that knows Mom and one of her best friends from long ago is there. This is not easy for my brother and I we have done the best we can, loving her is easy, taking care of her is difficult. Pray all goes well, see will see us often.

Every since my grandma been here she has had problems.First it started off with a bad bruised on her arm from the stand lift, then it started with her legs swelling.Next it move to two of her toenails having fungus. Then it took the family member to point out all this to the staff. We start noticing her having chills, been extremely tired, not eating, not speaking. She was also coughing and spiting up have blood. She never did this. She have her days where she get crossed up but never not been able to speak. We talk to the nurse and she told us that this was normal because of her age and dementia. We told her that this was not a normal thing for her. We ask can we send her to the hospital she stated " I CAN SEND HER TO THE HOSPITAL . BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL THEM BECAUSE THIS NORMAL. I SEE THIS ALL THE TIME THEY'RE JUST GOING TO SEND HER BACK. We kept talking to the asking her how is it normal when she can't respond and the only thing she was doing was barely holding her eyes opening. She was shaking like she had Parkinson disease. She had a doctor appointment with her lung specialist. My mom took her this morning immediately after the doctor check her lungs she was rush to the hospital. She has pneumonia in both long because this has been going on so long. They're running alot of tests to see have it enter her blood stream and what other infection has happen. Now we're in ICU praying everything will be okay..It shouldn't have took my mother and I to point all these symptoms out..If we would have just went ahead and took her out from the beginning..if I could put a zero star I can.

Madison Health and Rehab in Mars Hill, NC has caring for pt with dementia and are still mobile issues. I was called within a weeks time, 4 to 5 times, calling about my mom. I was asked if I could come watch my mom because the facility was short of staff. When I told them no, it was their responsibility to care for my mom and i was hungup on. I was asked another day when i was taking my mom home. Not a professional way to handle the situation. Think twice before using Madison Health and Rehab if your family member has dementia or alzheimers. The facility is not equipted with facilities to accommodate theses patients.

I went to Madison and it had a good rehab center. I stayed there close to 30 days. The staff wasn't that great either. They were very demanding. I was there sick and I couldn't get out of the bed. They don't know how sick I was. I had a major surgery on my neck and I had a cut on the top of my head because of a grout that was taken out from the top of my head. I was just very sick, but I did try my best to go and I did go most of the time, but sometimes, they forced me to go and I could not go. The rooms were all right and I don't have complaints with the food.
