Legacy Personal Care Home was very nice. It had everything that I wanted in a memory care facility. The staff members that I met were very accommodating. They answered all my questions. They were very helpful. The rooms were clean and nice.
My mother is at Legacy Personal Care Home. We chose it for her because of the small size of the home. That made me believe that more one-on-one care and attention could be administered because of her high needs for attention. I felt a smaller facility would be better for her. The staff is very caring, very kind, very professional, and very knowledgeable. The physical structure is very home-like, which also reduces the trauma for patients with memory problems going into a facility. It's less industrial and more residential. The facility was spotless, very clean, and well organized. The furnishings and things were arranged, in a sense, where they had the elderly in mind. There were no tripping hazards or other things of that nature. Everything was situated and organized very nicely. I did not try the food, but I have been able to see what they're eating, and the food is outstanding. They serve home cooked meals and they are very nutritious, hitting all of the different food groups. They can kind of cater to food based on the nutritional needs of the resident, as far as low salt and/or high calorie and things of that nature.
[name removed], the Director was outstanding in every way. She and her staff were exemplary. Based on the experience we had with Legacy Personal Care Home, we would absolutely recommend them to other families. Thank you.
I toured Legacy Personal Care Home. I really like the lady who owned it, and the people there were very nice. It was clean. It just seemed very pleasant. So, I liked all that about it. But it was where it was. It wasn't directly on the real busy road, but it was close enough that if my husband had gotten out of the yard he could have easily gotten down to the busy highway. And that was my big concern because my husband has dementia. I just know him.
My dad moved into Legacy Personal Care Home almost a month ago. Right now, everything is going fine. I like that the community is small. For my father, I felt he might need a smaller community so that he could have more one-on-one attention and help. So far, the care has been good because I feel that the staff here is more invested. From what I saw, they're really big on nutrition. They make sure that their residents eat balanced meals. The place is very nice. The rooms are a pretty good size. The living spaces like the dining area, the living room, and the backyard look pretty up to par. There's a garden, and they do have someone who comes in to do haircuts and stuff, but they don't have a room designated for it.
The personal relationship between the staff and director and residents was outstanding. I would definitely recommend Legacy Personal Care Home to others.
Legacy Personal Care Home was small, intimate, and had a very low number of people. There are only six rooms and they have 24/7 CNA care plus the owner worked as a nurse before and she's there every day. A doctor comes in about twice a week, too. I met some of the residents and they were all very happy, cheerful, looked very content, and engaged in some activities in the kitchen. There was also another family visiting and they all seemed very happy that their loved one was there. I just got good vibes from them. Some of the other facilities we went to had to charge me extra to bring the food to my wife's room and didn't know if they could make the stuff that she wants, but the owner of this place said that they will accommodate my wife's meal requirements and what she likes to eat every day. It was also very clean (I'm very picky about tidiness and cleanliness). It's one floor. Although it's an older home, it has been refurbished inside. It's very nice. There were no odors nor clutter and a lot of the furniture looked brand new. So, they keep it looking nice. The tile and the floors were shiny, clean, and all that.
I feel at ease that my loved one is in good hands and especially during these days of uncertainty. Anna is awesome, friendly and sincere. Highly recommend.
