This facility is definitely zeroed in on caring for the people that live there! The wound care nurse , Robin, literally healed a foot on my father in laws foot that had 3 toes removed. It is healed. The person who runs this Rehab. Center passes down an attitude of caring.
Was not a good experience. My grandmother went in after hospital stay for rehabilitation to get stronger before coming home. Sadly once the day shift left and night shift came on, there was no care. Several times my grandmother needed assistance due to sliding down in the bed and didn’t have the strength to pull herself up or over. When she called for help it was at least a 45 min wait before anyone would check on her. By that time my grandmother had called us making aware and we would call to ask them to please go and help her. I have been there twice when we needed assistance and couldn’t get anyone to come in and help. She dreaded the night because she knew she would have to lay in the same position until the next morning and she would not be changed. She would have a wet or soiled diaper on. Prior to her hospital stay she was able to go to the bathroom on her own. But again, she wasn’t strong enough to get out of bed by herself and needed help. She’s on oxygen and at times felt like she couldn’t breathe. Made her very anxious because she couldn’t pull herself up to change position and for 30 min to an hour would wait for help. She hated to call us so she tried to wait it out in hopes someone would come. We decided to take her out of the facility early and it was the best decision made. We reported this several times and voiced our concerns regarding the night shift and there was no improvement. I work in the healthcare myself and from what I witnessed, there was no excuse for the lack of care she received. The staff should be made to lay in one position for at least 1-2 hrs just to see what it feels like and maybe they would have some empathy for someone laying in the same position for 8-12 hrs. Very stressful situation for our family and grandmother.
I am writing this review on 8/25/2025. My father is here currently supposed to be short term to recover from a minor injury. His doctor prescribed him pain medication and he is supposed to take 1 pill every 6 hours. The nurses often skip giving him his medication at the correct time. In fact, the only two days he received it close to on time was last Wednesday and Thursday when they had an inspection. Subsequently, the only two days he was actually capable of participating in physical therapy were the days he received his medication on schedule. He constantly has problems with calling the…
I am writing this review on 8/25/2025. He constantly has problems with calling the nurses and no one comes for hours. My aunt has had to call the desk multiple times to tell them he needs assistance, and so have I. When I tell them he is calling, they argue and say no his light is not on. The first time I asked them if it may be broken because this is a consistent problem. The woman who answered said no its not. Later my father informed me that yes it was and supposedly they fixed it. To no avail however because still no one answers or better yet, they will just turn it off without ever seeing the patient. I called last night and asked them to please take him his medication after he'd been calling them for 20 minutes. I said "his light is on, thank you," and the same woman as before who said it wasn't broken replied "no its not, thank you," and hung up on me. I have worked in nursing homes as well as done home health care. These people are despicable and they do not care for their residents properly. If you look up inspection reports their neglect goes back years. They've been fined over 15,000 by the state already. The only reason my father is here is because this is the only facility his Medicare will cover that has space available. Do not allow your loved ones to come here if you can help it. He should have been home weeks ago, but due to their failure to follow provider instructions for his care plan he is still not able to do the physical therapy that will get him home.
The Evening staff was wonderful. Stephanie the overnight nurse was exceptional. The facility itself is old and desperately in need of repairs and updates. I observed black mold on the ceiling, bugs in the room, and gaps in the wall around the air conditioner. Would not recommend.
Miss Emaleigh Parker and Ms.hessica in the rest of the therapy staff are excellent. They take time they work with the patients on one on one could not ask for better people.
Brittany Cox. Did an awesome job,she was very detali, great energy and a nice person to be Round . And she gave me motivation that I needed. Team Cox Rock ! 20 out of 10 boom boom

My mom moved into Harborview Thomasville 2 weeks ago. The nursing staff is very nice and they help with any questions we have. They're very considerate. They check on her, and they're very helpful. She's in a private room. The dining area is nice and clean. She likes the food that they serve. They have daily activities. They keep a schedule of everything they want to do. They had a Christmas party and New Year's party. She gets physical and occupational therapy.
