The rooms are a good size, but I was disappointed to see the tub shower instead of a step-in, for safety. I do understand that some patients are not healthy enough to be able to get up to use the shower. It did appear to be well staffed, which is very important.
Very nice people, good food ,excellent infact, nurses are very caring and helpful and all personal , therapy and rehab!!! Check em out ya'all!!!!!!!
Attentive & caring staff. Patients look happy & well taken care of. New management is making changes for the better!
Brown's Health & Rehab Center was a horrible place. It was what the hospice group here in Statesboro recommended to us because my father needed skilled nursing care. I was considering putting both of my parents there so they could be together, but I'm so glad I didn't put my mom there. The rooms were beaten up. The walls had scars on them. It was clean, but it was rundown.
Customer service is terrible. Trying to schedule a visitation appointment is nearly impossible. The staff will just transfer your call until you get sent to a voicemail.
If you are looking for a place that will slowly kill, abuse, and neglect your loved one then THIS is the place! The group of people here are rude and very unpleasant. A simple task of just saying “Hello, how are you?” to a resident/visitor seems to be the hardest, most complex task for them. This place makes me sick! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
If you are a contractor, DO NOT DO WORK for these people unless they pay you on the spot. I have been lied to several times. I put off 3 of my paying customers to go and fix 2 problems (emergency plumbing work) and was promised payment when complete. I have not been paid. Now I have to take time to go to the Magistrate office and file a claim against them. I could only imagine how they treat patients if they lie and steal from honest contractors trying to help them.
This facility is not equipped to deal with mental illnesses that is issue number one. There is no doctor on staff so no one to give orders and check on patients daily to see if they are progressing or regressing. The nurses are not caring they are just there to do a job. If the nurses truly cared, I would not walk in to see my grandmother laying in a soaked bed from pee, and crying with hunger pains because the nurses did not make sure / help her eat breakfast nor give her a snack until lunch came. This facility needs a lot of updating and cleaning. Not a place a would recommend.
